Arsenal are reportedly considering a January move for Inter midfield ace Marcelo Brozovic in a bid to strengthen their squad.
The Croatian international has emerged as an important part of Roberto Mancini’s plans this season, as after initially struggling to break into the side, he became a more influential presence as the campaign played out.
With the Nerazzurri top of the Serie A table over the winter break, it remains to be seen whether or not Mancini would be open to allowing his squad to be broken up by green-lighting sales in the January transfer window, but it appears as though Arsenal are set to test their resolve.
According to Corriere dello Sport, as reported by The Express, the Gunners are willing to make a €25m bid (£18m), with Brozovic likely to fill the void left by the injured duo of Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin.
Both midfielders are expected to be out for a few months yet after suffering damaging injuries, and Arsene Wenger may well require reinforcements in order to ensure that his side sustain their Premier League title push this season.
Brozovic would certainly fit the bill given his ability to play a similar role in midfield, although the former Dinamo Zagreb starlet would hope to build on the two goals that he has scored so far this year.
