Manchester City are plotting to move for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy in the January transfer window.
The England international has been one of the revelations of the Premier League season, having scored a considerable 15 goals in 18 EPL appearances to date this term. The forward’s strikes have put him atop the division’s scoring charts, while he’s also helped Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes to first place in the table.
Such has been the striker’s impact this season, that Chelsea have identified him as the ideal man to revive their flagging season as they look to move on from their devastating start to the season.
According to the Express, Guus Hiddink is understood to be considering the 28-year-old to cure the Blues’ offensive concerns.
However, any hopes the Pensioners had of bringing the international to Stamford Bridge have been hit with the news that Manchester City are keen on the forward.
According to The Sun, the Citizens are plotting a £30 million move for the player, and are hoping to see off Chelsea to sign the player in January.
Should Vardy move to City, the Sky Blues would not only be acquiring a fine, in-form EPL striker, they would also be destabilizing one of their key rivals at the top of the table.
