Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be clinging to his job, and may lose it if his side fall to defeat against Liverpool this weekend, according to the Daily Mirror.

Chelsea reiterated their support of the manager following a fifth league defeat away to West Ham on Saturday, though owner Roman Abramovic wasn’t there to watch the match as he was out of the country celebrating his birthday (via Mirror).

However, the Chelsea board are believed to be becoming increasingly concerned by Mourinho’s behaviour following his dismissal during the Hammers defeat (via Mirror).

The FA are currently waiting on referee Jon Moss’ report on his alleged altercation with Mourinho before deciding on what action to take (via Mirror).

The Mirror also claim that Chelsea will likely face charges for failing to control their players after midfielder Nemanja Matic was dismissed and five other players collected bookings.

Mourinho will now face a crucial week with Tuesday’s Capital One Cup clash with Stoke and the weekend’s meeting with Liverpool potentially deciding his future.

The Mirror highlight that both former Blues bosses Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti are both available should Mourinho get the boot.
