Juventus have confirmed that Liverpool have made an offer for midfielder Claudio Marchisio and Jurgen Klopp is keen to continue the club’s pursuit of the stylish Italian international according to the Daily Express.
Serie A title holders Juventus have started the current campaign very poorly and currently sit down in 14th place in the table, some nine points off leaders Fiorentina, and having seen the likes of Arturo Vidal, Carlos Tevez and Andrea Pirlo leave over the summer it’s clear Massimiliano Allegri wouldn’t want to see any other key players make an exit from the Turin based side.
Juventus chief executive officer Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that a number of sides have taken an interest in Marchisio but is adamant the one-club man is going nowhere, stating;
“We get so many offers for our players, but we are used to buying not selling.
“Not only Liverpool, we have received several offers.”
“We have renewed a contract with him, we focus strongly on Claudio and I believe that his first thought is to finish his career here,”

Marchisio has represented Juventus since the age of seven and is into his tenth season in the first-team set-up and a fan favourite and as such it would take quite an offer to convince the Turin born star to consider a move to Livepool.
The Juventus star would offer Klopp a real improvement in terms of his current midfield options and the German boss should expect a decent level of transfer funding in January.
Claudio Marchisio made 45 starts in all competitions last season as he helped Juventus to a Serie A title as well as a spot in the Champions League final.
