Chelsea plot move to beat Arsenal in race to sign Real Madrid attacker

Jese Rodriguez Real Madrid

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has entered the race to sign young Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez according to the Metro.

The 22-year-old attacker has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu due to the fact that the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez are ahead of him in the Real Madrid pecking order and as such a move to the Premier League may tempt the versatile front-man.

Jese can play either out wide or in a central striking role and has represented Real Madrid since the age of 14 but over the course of his four season in their first-team set-up the youngster has managed just ten La Liga starts and may feel the time is right for a fresh challenge.
