Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood has two matches to save his job and should he fail to pick up a win from upcoming matches with Chelsea and Swansea City then Brendan Rodgers will be ushered in to replace the former Tottenham manager according to the Metro.
Sherwood’s side sit in 18th place in the Premier League table having won just one of their opening eight matches and as such it’s not a huge surprise the 46-year-old would be under pressure.
It is however worth noting that Aston Villa lost arguably their two best players over the summer, Fabian Delph and Christian Benteke leaving for Man City and Liverpool respectively, and as such their poor start to the season isn’t unexpected.
