Manchester United transfer news this January could see Louis van Gaal make a double raid on the German Bundesliga, including trying to sign one of his former players.
The Red Devils need strengthening in a number of key areas after something of an inconsistent start to the season, and it looks like Van Gaal could be ready to splash even more cash.
Having brought in a number of big names this summer and last, the Dutchman is not afraid of spending vast amounts on the players he wants, and recent reports suggest these are the players he wants:
1) Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)
Valued at around £65m or more, United could try again to sign long-term target Thomas Muller, who was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford several times during the summer. Van Gaal is still a big fan of the German World Cup winner, who would make a significant upgrade on the struggling Wayne Rooney up front.
