Tottenham Hotspur have been hit by the devastating news that Son Heung-min faces a spell on the sidelines with a foot injury.
The South Korea international has made an excellent first impression on English football and represents a considerable loss for the Lilywhites.
Son didn’t ignite on his debut against Sunderland, but over subsequent weeks he has shown that his vision, movement and work-rate can be valuable assets for Spurs. He scored against Sunderland and Qarab, before impressing against Manchester City once again.
However, that memorable 4-1 triumph looks to have come at a cost, with talkSPORT reporting that the former Bayer Leverkusen frontman picked up a foot injury in that match and will now face tests before Spurs can determine when he will be back.
A statement from the club said: “Heung-Min Son sustained a foot injury in a challenge during Saturday’s win against Manchester City and has spent the past few days being reviewed.
