Gunners make enquiries over international goal machine.
Arsenal reportedly made ‘discreet’ approaches to sign Bayern Munich striker and long-time Manchester United transfer target Robert Lewandowski during the summer.
The 27-year-old centre-forward is fast becoming regarded as one of the best players in the world in his position, and made headlines this week with an incredible five goals in eleven minutes after coming on as a substitute against Wolfsburg.
It has now emerged that Arsenal tried to sign Lewandowski in the summer transfer window, only to be told he was not for sale, according to the Daily Mail.
