World class striker suffering inexplicable run without finding the net.
The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea may be glad they didn’t make a £35m move for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer after the Frenchman’s 706-minute goal drought.
The 24-year-old is regarded as one of the best centre-forwards in Europe at the moment, having taken Ligue 1 by storm last term to attract interest from a whole host of big clubs.
However, Lacazette now can’t buy a goal for club or country, having gone an incredible 706 minutes (close to 12 hours) without scoring, a feat that would have seemed so unlikely just a few months ago.
