Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have shown an interest in signing West Ham wonderkid Reece Oxford, according to club co-chairman David Gold.
The 16-year-old defender is one of the hottest prospects in English football at the moment, having shone in the Hammers’ first-team after a surprise inclusion by manager Slaven Billic at the start of this season.
Oxford has been compared with former Hammers star Rio Ferdinand, who went on to play for Manchester United and England in a great career, and Gold has admitted it has been a fight to keep the player at Upton Park.
