Manchester United star David De Gea has been offered a massive contract to get him to stay at Old Trafford, according to journalist Ian Abrahams [Metro].
The 24-year-old’s future at the club has been unclear since a move to Real Madrid fell apart due to the necessary paperwork being handed in late [BBC]. With Sergio Romero being prefered between the sticks in every game to date, the Spain international has appeared to be out of favour with manager Louis van Gaal.

The Red Devils are offering the former Atletico Madrid man £200,000-a-week to stay with them. The five-year deal will even be backdated a year to try and entice the goalkeeper in to signing. However, there is a €50 million release clause, meaning that Los Merengues may still have a chance to sign the stopper in January or next summer.
