Tottenham forward Emmanuel Adebayor has been offered to Man United as Louis van Gaal seeks to strengthen his blunted Old Trafford attack according to the Daily Mail.
The 31-year-old is yet to make an appearance for his White Hart Lane side this term and has a year to run on his current contract (via the Daily Mail).
Louis van Gaal elected to sell Robin van Persie to Fenerbahce and has used Wayne Rooney as his chief striking option this season but the England man has struggled for form and has now gone ten Premier League matches without a goal, though he did manage a hat-trick against Club Brugge in Champions League qualifying action.
Emmanuel Adebayor’s unwillingness to move to the Midlands hampered his proposed move to Aston Villa (via the Daily Mirror) and a move to West Ham has also been mooted (via ESPN) but a move to Man United could prove most tempting to the former Arsenal and Man City man. However, one wonders if such a move would significantly improve upon on those options van Gaal currently calls upon.

Manchester United favourites to sign £15m-rated 18-goal striker
Though Togo international Adebayor isn’t the same player he once was, although the powerful forward does have a rich Premier League pedigree that could lead van Gaal to believe a move for the experienced marksman may be a signing worth considering.
Adebayor has scored 96 Premier League goals in 225 appearances for Arsenal, Man City and Tottenham.
