Joel Campbell - Arsenal

Joel Campbell looks set to depart Arsenal tonight, following reports in France [via Mirror Sport] that the Costa Rica international has emerged as a transfer target for Rennes.

With the French transfer window shutting at 11pm, the Ligue 1 outfit face a race against time to complete a season-long loan deal for the 23-year-old, who is yet to make an appearance for the Gunners this season.

Campbell, who has also been linked with a move to Galatasaray, dropped a major hint that he is set to join Rennes by posting an image on his official Twitter account of his passport and that has further fueled speculation that he has no future in North London this season.

After impressing at last summer’s World Cup in Brazil, the winger was retained by manager Arsene Wenger for the first half of the 2014-15 campaign, but was sent out on-loan to Liga BBVA outfit Villarreal in the January transfer window after finding first-team opportunities limited.
