Spurs eye surprise move for Reds striker.
Tottenham are said to be plotting a surprise raid on rivals Liverpool to sign out-of-favour forward Fabio Borini before the end of the summer.
The north London outfit look in serious need of strengthening up front, with Mauricio Pochettino eager to replace departing flop Roberto Soldado and bring in an upgrade on Emmanuel Adebayor.
Borini may not be the club’s first choice, but with Spurs failing in a bid for West Brom front-man Saido Berahino, he may now be the next best realistic option.
