Manchester United are ready to switch focus to Lazio star Felipe Anderson following their failure to sign Spanish international Pedro, according to ESPN.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a superb campaign last term, his ten goals and seven assists proving key in the Stadio Olimpico side’s run to secure a Champions League spot, and it’s no surprise that there is growing interest in the former Santos man.
Louis van Gaal has seen his side register just two goals in their opening three Premier League fixtures and the Old Trafford side are yet to replace Robin van Persie following his move to Fenerbahce.
Felipe Anderson wouldn’t replace the Dutchman, but would offer a fresh option linking midfield and attack, and is a direct creative talent who could help provide some much needed ammunition in the final third.
