City nearing sensational double deal in attack.
Manchester City look to be edging closer to completing a superb double signing for a total fee of around £71m, according to various recent reports.
The Premier League runners-up are under pressure to strengthen their squad for the season ahead, with Manuel Pellegrini in need of new additions to wrestle the title back off Chelsea.
It seems that the Chilean tactician will be focusing on his options up front, with both Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer, and these are the players he wants:
1) Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg)
According to today’s Daily Mirror, City will table an improved bid of £50m to sign Wolfsburg’s talented Belgian winger Kevin De Bruyne, a player who has been linked with a move to the Etihad all summer long. It remains to be seen if this will be enough to persuade the Bundesliga club to sell, and Manchester United are also known to be interested.
