Arsenal have made a £45 million bid for Real Madrid star Karim Benzema, reports the Daily Express.
The offer is being considered by Los Merengues according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli. This will be a major boost for the Gunners, who looked in need of reinforcing up front in their 0-2 defeat to West Ham on the opening weekend of the season.

Olivier Giroud played in that encounter, and although he wasn’t terrible he isn’t of the level needed to spearhead an attempt at the Premier League title.
