Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal revealed in his pre-match conference ahead of his side’s game against Aston Villa on Friday night that goalkeeper David De Gea will once again be left out of the squad [via Sky Sports] and that has been a hot topic on social media.
The Spaniard was dropped in favour of summer signing Sergio Romero for the Red Devils’ first game of the new season against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford last weekend and that prompted speculation that a transfer to Liga BBVA giants Real Madrid was at an advanced stage.

However, this saga is showing no signs of being resolved anytime soon as Los Blancos appear reluctant to meet the reported £35million valuation that United have placed on De Gea’s head.
With van Gaal once again dropping the 24-year-old from the squad, it could mean that there is still hope that a resolution between the two European giants is close, but it appears that a number of United supporters on Twitter are becoming rather frustrated with the whole situation.
Transfer window should close before the new season begins…. These transfer sagas are frustrating for everyone. #DeGea #MUFC — sanket (@RightHand_Rule) August 13, 2015
We want him to stay, he wants to play but we don’t play him. This is turning into a bit of a farce. #DeGea #MUFC — Armchair Devil (@Armchair_Devil) August 13, 2015
