Man United will announce the signing of Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan in a £28m deal this week according to the Metro.
The 27-year-old Argentine international has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford and by all accounts Gaitan’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is on his way to Manchester to finalise the deal.
Nicolas Gaitan has spent five years in Portugal and is in a fine run of form having helped Benfica to back to back Primeira Liga titles over the past two seasons and looks set to replace fellow countryman Angel Di Maria, who left for PSG in a £44.5m deal earlier this month.

Louis van Gaal has a host of wide-attacking options with the likes of Juan Mata, Ashley Young, Memphis Depay and Adnan Januzaj available to the experienced Man United boss.
That said, Nicolas Gaitan is a hugely talented winger who could offer a fresh option out wide and it’s worth noting that van Gaal appears keen to play new signing Memphis in a more central role.
