Man United are reportedly confident that they will retain the services of David De Gea beyond the summer transfer window according to the Daily Telegraph.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for months but as yet the Old Trafford side have refused to sell the Spanish international.
Real Madrid failed with a £20m offer for De Gea last month and have been told to stump up £35m to sign the former Atletico Madrid man, a fee that would constitute a world record for a goalkeeper.

£35m is a big fee considering that in 12 months’ time David De Gea’s Man United current contract will have expired, leaving the player available on a free transfer and as such Real Madrid may elect to bide their time in preference to forking out such a sum.
