Jose Mourinho furiously reacted when Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro ran onto the pitch after Eden Hazard was fouled in injury time against Swansea City.
According to BBC journalist Jacquie Oatley, Carneiro’s assistance was asked for by Hazard and referee Michael Oliver asked her to come on.
However, that doesn’t seem to matter to Mourinho.
Today, reports are claiming that Carneiro has had her role with the reigning Premier League champions reduced, and will not be on the bench against Manchester City on Sunday.
Supporters have taken to Twitter to slam Mourinho, venting their fury that – once more – Mourinho is passing blame onto someone else for his side’s defeat.
Take a look at the top tweets on the latest Carneiro news below…

So Chelsea have demoted Eva Carneiro for doing her job, but won’t punish Eden Hazard for faking an injury? Absolutely pathetic! 🙁

Eva Carneiro getting a lower profile role, how disappointing. Mourinho likes to blame others for not winning doesn’t he

I think everyone agrees, or the sane ones, that Mourinho should’ve kept his mouth shut rather than having a go at Eva. Let her do her job.

I once remember being a strong advocate for Mourinho getting the United job post-Sir Alex. How wrong I was – Such a poison to the game.

Can’t comment on Eva Carneiro’s performance in her role, but if she is sacked then this is a new low for Mourinho in deflecting criticism.
