Liverpool are set to complete the signing of highly-rated Barcelona youngster Adama Traore according to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
19-year-old winger Adama Traore has come through the Nou Camp ranks and is now on the fringes of Luis Enrique’s first team squad and but been strongly linked with a move away from the Catalan side over the course of the summer, with Premier League side Southampton also said to be keen on the teenager (El Mundo Deportivo via the Liverpool Echo).
Traore made his La Liga debut back in November 2013 and scored his first goal for Barcelona last December during the club’s 8-1 mauling of SD Huesca in the Copa del Rey.
Reports have suggested that Barcelona will need to severely trim their ‘B’ team squad ahead of the new season (via the Daily Mirror), the club’s reserves currently play in the third tier of the Spanish footballing pyramid.

Liverpool brought in free agents James Milner, Adam Bogdan and Danny Ings and invested sums in deals to sign Roberto Firmino, Joe Gomez, Nathaniel Clyne, Christian Benteke and Brazilian teenager Allan Rodrigues de Souza.
Spanish source Sport claim Traore is on his way to Merseyside to undergo a medical with the Premier League side ahead of a deal to become Liverpool’s ninth summer signing.
