Manchester City have been told it will cost £50million to land their top summer transfer target Kevin De Bruyne, according to Mirror Sport.
The highly-rated Vfl Wolfsburg playmaker was in sensational form for the Bundesliga outfit last season as he registered an amazing 20 assists in 34 league appearances and also scored in the German Cup final victory over Borussia Dortmund.
The 2014-15 runners-up in Germany’s top division have been adamant all summer that De Bruyne would not be leaving the Volkswagen Arena, however, fresh reports indicate that they are now willing to listen to offers for the former Chelsea midfielder as he is yet to sign a new deal with the club.
It’s understood that City aren’t prepared to meet Die Wolfe’s hefty asking price after spending close to that amount on Raheem Sterling earlier in the summer, but they are confident of striking an agreement for a fee in the region of £38million.
