Man United are believed to have reached an agreement to sign Ajax keeper Jasper Cillessen according to The Daily Telegraph.
Jasper Cillessen was Louis van Gaal’s starting keeper at the 2014 World Cup finals when the Old Trafford boss was in charge of the Dutch national team set-up.
The Daily Telegraph report that Ajax have left Jasper Cillessen out of their Champions League squad ahead of the Eredivisie side’s tie with Rapid Vienna this evening, fueling speculation that he could leave the Amsterdam ArenA for Man United.
Jasper Cillessen is seen by van Gaal as a replacement for Man United star David De Gea (via talkSPORT) with the former Atletico Madrid man said to be closing in on a move to Real Madrid (via the Daily Mail).
The La Liga side are ready to meet Man United’s £35m valuation (via the Daily Star) leading to speculation as to who may replace the Spaniard.
