Angel Di Maria‘s transfer to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain from Manchester United is set to be finalised early next week, according to reports in Mirror Sport.
The Argentine winger, who joined the Red Devils for a club record fee of £59.7million from La Liga giants Real Madrid last summer is poised to leave the Barclays Premier League after just one season.
His initial form for United was very promising as he scored on his home debut against Queens Park Rangers and then followed it up with a sensational goal against Leicester City a week later.
However, his was not able to sustain that high level of performances throughout the season and eventually lost his place in manager Louis van Gaal’s strongest starting XI to a rejuvenated Ashley Young towards the end of the campaign.
It’s understood that Di Maria will travel to France over the weekend and will put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal worth £200,000-a-week with PSG and is expected to be unveiled next Monday.
