The versatile White Hart Lane squad player, who can play at full-back or in the centre of defence, is set to complete an initial loan move to Fiorentina which should then lead to a permanent switch that would net Tottenham £3.9m.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino has moved to offload a number of under-performing members of his Spurs squad with Paulinho, Etienne Capoue, Lewis Holtby, Benjamin Stambouli and Younes Kaboul having all left the north London club this summer.
