Old Trafford side chase Stamford Bridge target.
Man United are readying a £22m bid for Barcelona attacker Pedro according to the Daily Mirror.
The 27-year-old Spanish international has found his first team opportunities at the Nou Camp limited since the arrival of Luis Suarez last summer.
Pedro was handed just 15 La Liga starts in 2014/15 as Luis Enrique opted to use Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar in a mouthwatering attacking set-up that demolished all before them.
Louis van Gaal finds himself short of attacking options having elected to not sign loaned in forward Radamel Falcao, who has since joined Chelsea, and sold both Nani and Robin van Persie to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The Daily Mirror claim Pedro has a £22m buy-out clause and that Chelsea will also be pushing to capture the experienced World Cup winner.
Tenerife born forward Pedro can play in a central striking role but is best suited to a spot on either flank and is a player of genuine ability.
Pedro has notched up 98 goals in 300+ Barcelona appearances and has won a host of honours during the course of his nine seasons in the Catalan side’s first team set-up.

Man United exodus looks set to continue as Everton close in on defender signing
2010/11 was perhaps Pedro’s best season at Barcelona to date with the speedy versatile attacker making 48 appearances in all competitions and capping off the campaign with a goal in his side’s 3-1 Champions League final victory over Man United at Wembley.
Barcelona’s signing of Arda Turan earlier this summer will see Pedro further challenged for a prominent role in Enrique’s plans.
