The Old Trafford side are keen to invest in a defensive leader who can help resolve their shaky back-line and have apparently agreed personal terms with the 29-year-old Spanish international.
Man United are ready to make a big offer for the experienced Bernabeu star though one wonders if such an offer will meet Real Madrid’s reported £63m valuation.
Sergio Ramos has accepted the Premier League side’s offer of a £150k a week contract.
The former Sevilla man is said to be unhappy with Real Madrid’s stance on his ongoing contract talks, Ramos demanding a new deal that puts in line with the club’s top earners, and this has led to growing speculation that the long serving player could leave the La Liga side.
Ramos has completed ten seasons at Real Madrid, notching up over 400 appearances in the process.
