Manchester United have been linked with a £30m bid to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema this summer, with the Spanish giants ready to offload the Frenchman and use Cristiano Ronaldo as a centre-forward.

Arsenal have also been linked with the former Lyon man in recent months, but a move to Old Trafford could potentially see the Gunners switch their focus to Napoli front-man Gonzalo Higuain.

Valued at a ridiculous price of £67m, according to the Guardian, the Argentine has gained unwanted attention in recent times for some blunders in front of goal, including a skied penalty in his country’s Copa America final loss to Chile, as well as some bad misses in last year’s World Cup final defeat to Germany.

The Daily Mail claims Arsenal and Chelsea are looking at Higuain as United eye Benzema, but would Arsene Wenger be better off looking elsewhere instead of at the flakey Bernabeu flop?
