It now means the North London outfit have a reliable goalkeeper in between the sticks for the first time in a long while and further boosts their ambitions of challenging for the title next season.
The Czech Republic international’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium is likely to deny Szczesny the chance to regain his spot as the club’s Number One after losing his place to David Ospina following a poor performance against Southampton on New Year’s Day.
However, the Polish international is happy about the addition of Cech to the squad and posted a message via his Facebook account to reveal that he is looking forward to learning from him next year.
