Arsenal complete signing of Chelsea legend Petr Cech
The 33-year-old made 485 appearances for the Blues over 11 years, winning a trio of Premier Leagues, a quartet of FA Cups, three League Cups, a Europa League, and a Champions League. This makes it even more surprising that the Stamford Bridge outfit decided to allow him to go to a direct rival such as the Gunners.
They may even go on to regret this move if the North London side beat them to the Premier League title next time round. Emirates boss Arsene Wenger has already stated that the top flight is one of his aims next time round, according to the Daily Telegraph.
For now though, everyone just seems shocked that the deal has actually gone through…
I would like to thank everyone who helped make this happen both @ChelseaFC & @Arsenal especially Roman Abramovich & my agents Sports Invest

Bringing in Cech above Szczesny and Ospina is the sort of ruthless, short-term thinking I feared we’d never see again from Arsene. — gunnerblog (@gunnerblog) June 29, 2015
