Manchester United target wants transfer before August 18
The 27-year-old wants to play in the Champions League, which the Serie A side failed to qualify for last season. After scoring 28 goals in 56 games for the Ciucciarelli during the last campaign the striker is sure to have some options with teams in the competition. He has also been in fine form for Argentina during the Copa America, scoring in their win over Jamaica recently.
Two of the known options are the Premier League duo. The Gunners are in need of a top class striker if they are going to challenge for the Premier League title next time round, with Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck, and Theo Walcott not of the same calibre of their opponents’ forwards. Chelsea have Diego Costa, while Manchester City have Sergio Aguero.
Meanwhile the Red Devils will need to reinforce their squad after qualifying for the Champions League as well as having heightened expectations in the top flight next season. Radamel Falcao has now left the club and Robin van Persie seems to be feeling the effects of his 31-years, so it is especially important that manager Louis van Gaal brings in a new striker to deal with the new demands.
