Man United’s pursuit to sign Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin appears to be moving apace with the south-coast side having seemingly identified a replacement for the French international according to the Metro.

The St Mary’s star has long been linked with a Southampton exit and now Ronald Koeman appears to have prepared the ground for a sale by targeting Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
Schneiderlin watched on as a host of his team-mates were sold last summer and now looks likely to finally seal a move that will see the 25 year old experience Champions League action.
Arsenal are also keen on Schneiderlin but van Gaal leads the chase and having successfully secured Luke Shaw from Southampton a year ago the Dutch manager may well be confident of repeating the trick.
