Manchester United transfer news
Manchester United are supposedly set to step up their interest in signing Bayern Munich forward Mario Gotze in this summer’s transfer window, with the Bundesliga champions open to letting him go.
Recent quotes from Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge suggest Gotze would be available for the right price, though the Metro adds that Arsenal and Chelsea could also be interested in the German international.
Once regarded as one of the best young talents in the world, Gotze has not quite found his best form since leaving Borussia Dortmund for Bayern in 2013, though he did score his country’s winner in the World Cup final against Argentina last summer.
Clearly a top talent, the 23-year-old may benefit from a change this summer, and United hope they can lure him to Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal continues to chase big names.
