The player in question is Brazilian midfield starlet Lucas Silva, who joined the Spanish giants from Cruzeiro in the January transfer window, but who has since struggled to break into the first-team, making only three starts for the club.
Silva was eyed up by Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United prior to his move to Real, and it will be interesting to see if either side renew their interest in the youngster this summer.
Arsenal certainly still look in need of new additions in the middle of the park, and the 22-year-old could be an ideal choice for Arsene Wenger’s side, particularly if they would not have to pay a transfer fee for him.
Spanish source AS suggests Silva will be sent out on loan, but does not mention any specific clubs who may be after him this summer.
