Reports have been rife that Blues boss Jose Mourinho is willing to offer former Atleti left-back Filipe Luis in a player plus cash deal for star striker Griezmann – who has a release-clause of £43.5m written into his contract [London Evening Standard].
The 24-year-old only made the move to the Estadio Vicente Calderon in the summer, but has settled into Diego Simeone’s first-team with ease, filling the goalscoring void that could have been left by Diego Costa – reaching a club highest tally of 22 league goals.

Reports from Spain, cited by the Express, suggest that the Premier League champions could be closing in on a deal for the France international.
According to the newspaper, Rojiblancos are considering an offer for Juve ace Carlos Tevez, which could be a sign that the club are searching for Griezmann’s replacement.
Mario Mandzukic’s future with Atleti is also uncertain, as reports claimed that the club had removed his image from the club store [the Express], and a striker could therefore be a priority for Diego Simeone in the summer transfer window.
