Spurs paid AS Roma £30m for 23 year old Argentine international Lamela, seemingly hell bent on spending the funds accrued from the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, but the South American has proven a massive flop at White Hart Lane.
Lamela bagged 15 Serie A goals in his final season at the Stadio Olimpico but has managed to net just twice in 38 Premier League appearances.
Juventus are ready to offer £25m for Lamela and one has to imagine chairman Daniel Levy wouldn’t think twice about accepting such an offer given the form the attacker has displayed over the past two seasons.
Mauricio Pochettino has had to heavily rely upon youngster Harry Kane for an end product this term, with Lamela, Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor all failing to offer adequate support, and the sale of any of this trio could help to fund moves for more effective sources of firepower.
