The veteran Spanish shot-stopper has not been at his best at the Bernabeu for some time now, with calls for the club to replace him with the in-form de Gea after his excellent individual performances in the Premier League this term.
The 24-year-old would make a great long-term buy for the club and looks set to be on his way out of Old Trafford after refusing to sign a new contract ahead of the next transfer window.
