The Gunners have officially been linked with the 20-year-old England international, though a number of top clubs are believed to be interested in his services ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Stones has performed superbly again for Everton this season after a terrific breakthrough campaign last year, and he has been hailed as being the next big thing in English football.
Chelsea are believed to be one of his main admirers, though Arsenal have been urged to join the running for the talented 20-year-old, according to the Daily Star.
An unnamed source close to the north London club has named Stones as a player who should be a priority target, which makes sense considering some unconvincing form from Per Mertesacker in some big games this season.
