The is growing speculation over Martin Skrtel’s future at the club, with the Slovakian having just a year to run on his current contract, and new signing Dejan Lovren has proven inconsistent since moving to Liverpool and as such a move for a central defender would perhaps be a sensible transfer to consider.
26 year old Kjaer first rose to prominence with Palermo, before moving to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in 2010, and also enjoyed a loan season at AS Roma before moving to Lille in the summer of 2013.
Last term Lille secured a fine top three finish and their rock solid defence was key to this success, however this term the Stade Pierre-Mauroy side have struggled and are down in eighth spot and as such Kjaer may well be considering his options.
