The Gunners are in the market for a new goalkeeper as manager Arsene Wenger isn’t thought to be overjoyed with his current options, and a report in the Mail claims that the highly-rated German stopper is high on his wish list.
It is believed that the Gunners have scouted Leno on numerous occasions in recent weeks, and are now keen on making a move for him at the end of the season.
Leno is considered as a future number one with the German national team, but as it stands has a £13m release clause installed in his contract, which is a veritable bargain for someone so highly rated.
The 23-year-old also has some considerable Champions League experience under his belt, having made his debut in the tournament at the age of 19.
