The Guardian claims that Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal is open to the possibility of selling the 31 year old having seen the experienced marksman struggle for both fitness and form.
Van Persie has just a year to run on his deal so if Man United want to make money from a sale then they’d have to consider doing so this summer.
After grabbing 30 goals in his debut season at Man United it’s fair to say things have done downhill for van Persie, the forward managing two Premier League goals in 2015.
One wonders just how much Man United could look to recoup of their £24m outlay if they do look to find a buyer for the former Arsenal man.
