The pair have reportedly had their relationship take a turn after the Italian criticised his midfielder for his attitude over the last six weeks. The situation has gotten so bad now that if the 55-year-old stays at the club the 23-year-old will apparently leave.
This has piqued the interest of the Gunners, and he would be another quality addition to their squad in the same vein as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in recent years. Signing another high profile star would be a serious statement of intent.
However, the Spain international does play in a very similar position to the recently bought pair, and with Santi Cazorla, Tomas Rosicky, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, and others who can play across the front line. There is a possibility then, that they don’t need Isco even if he is a great player.
