The Spanish giants are looking at bringing in reinforcements in that position, with manager Diego Simeone clearly impressed by what he has seen from Rose in the Premier League this season.
The former England Under-21 international has certainly been a stand-out performer at White Hart Lane this term, though it is not common for English players to make the move abroad.
Still, Rose could follow in the footsteps of old Spurs team-mate Gareth Bale in swapping London for Madrid this summer, as the Daily Mirror states Atletico could be City’s main rivals to snap him up in the next transfer window.
City are also eyeing a new signing at left-back due to some unconvincing form from the likes of Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov this season.
