The Reds are keen to bring in a top class replacement for current number one Simon Mignolet, who has had an up-and-down season at Anfield and generally struggled to impress on a consistent basis since joining the club from Sunderland last season.
Cech’s future has come under intense speculation in recent times after his being dropped from Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup at the start of the season, with Belgian youngster Thibaut Courtois now preferred as first choice in that position.
This could now see Liverpool pounce for the 32-year-old in an exciting move, according to the Daily Mirror, with manager Brendan Rodgers hoping to improve his side’s fortunes for next season after seeing his team slip out of the top four after a poor recent run.
