22-year-old Jese has made 13 appearances in La Liga this term, scoring twice, and has made the starting XI only once.

He has been given little more opportunity in the Champions League, Club World Cup or Copa del Rey—making just five appearances across these three tournaments—all as a substitute.

Jese is a product of the Real Madrid academy, having worked his way into the first team from the Castilla, and has also represented Spain at every youth level from U16 to U21.

However, the presence of Karim Benzema and Javier Hernandez, not to mention the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, has severely reduced the player’s first team options.

According to Mercato365, the forward has admitted he is keen to move this summer, and Everton, West Ham United, Espanyol, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have been mooted as possible destinations.

Chelsea have also been listed among the player’s admirers, via Metro.
