Manchester City were left sweating over the fitness and health of David Silva after the Spanish international was stretchered off against West Ham following a blow to the head.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men got back to winning ways thanks to a comical own goal from James Collins and another well worked effort which was swept home by Sergio Aguero.
However, much of the focus post-match will be on the well-being of the Spanish maestro Silva after West Ham’s Cheikhou Kouyaté flung an elbow which struck the Man City man in the jaw.

Nine minutes of stoppage time was required at the end of the game due to the attention Silva received following the incident.
