The Reds are reportedly desperate for a well-established stopper who can help steady their still shaky defence, with The Sun predicting that the Czech international could be the man, at least as a short-term solution.
Cech is a free agent at the end of next season and the loan move is reportedly designed to discover whether he’d be open to a permanent move to Merseyside, which would involve moving his entire family out of London.
Liverpool’s main advantage is the player’s desire to play first-team football, and with Thibaut Courtois having taken his place in the Blues XI, he’ll likely have to move in order to ensure that.
Arsenal, Southampton, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid are also believed to be in the queue of teams watching Cech’s situation, with his reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in the world apparently still holding strong.
