Reigning Brazilian champions Cruzeiro will progress to the knock out stages of the 2015 Copa Libertadores if they can manage to take at least a point from Argentine opponents Huracan in their Group 3 encounter tonight.
Time: 3pm PDT / 6pm EDT / 11pm BST
Date: Tuesday 14th March
Where: Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó, Buenos Aires, Argentina
So far this campaign Cruzeiro are unbeaten in the South American showpiece tournament, with two wins and two draws from their four games. It’s left them on top of Group 3 with eight points, two clear of Bolivian side Club Universitario in second and four ahead of Huracan in third.
Huracan are in the unusual position of having drawn all four of their games so far, meaning a point will send the Brazilians to the next round.
The last game between the two ended in a 0-0 draw in early March.
Domestically, Cruzeiro are in the semi-finals of the Mineiro state championships where they are tied 1-1 with Atletico Mineiro after the first leg, while Huracan are 24th in Argentina’s newly-expanded 30-team Primera Division.
